Black men are the scariest thing to white people for many reasons. This Fear is mainly due to the media’s portrayal of us and naturally because a strong Black man is intimidating to white people and white supremacy. When they see black men sporting dreads, beards, Afros, or styles that show off your hair, that fear of Black Men now becomes amplified. The reason behind this is because it’s send a non-verbal indirect message to them. What it is saying is “Yea I am Black, and as a Black Man with pride I will not conform to your standards of beauty or professionalism, and I will wear my hair out!” It’s a Message that undermines the white elitist structure and goes against what they consider and call “civilized”. Salute to the ‪#‎Dreadheads‬ ‪#‎SunniGang‬ ‪#‎Afrowearers‬ rock ya hair with pride.
